WAGGA’S patchwork quilt of cultures was on display at the inaugural meeting of a unique group this month.

The newly-formed Wagga Culture Club attracted more than 200 people – four times what organisers were expecting – to its first meeting on July 18.

Held to mark the end of the Islamic Ramadan period, the event saw eight local cultural groups make up for a month of fasting between dawn and dusk by sharing their homemade offerings at a buffet lunch. The group was formed by the Multicultural Council of Wagga Wagga in partnership withRelationships Australia to organise monthly activities for our diverse local cultures.

The next meeting will be held at Relationships Australia in Gurwood Street on Wednesday, July 29at 6pm and all are welcome to attend.
